Jim and his wife Susan were born and raised in metropolitan Atlanta, GA. He has both an undergraduate and graduate degree from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. He began serving as lead pastor at Riverside in June 2005. Jim previously served as our minister of education from 1995-98. Little did our new pastor know what was in store for him and his family in the months ahead – hurricane Katrina.
Jim met Susan on a mission trip to the Virgin Islands (someone has to tell them about Jesus too!). Susan is the kindergarten assistant at John Curtis Christian School and attends UNO. Their two children Christina (born 7/24/97) and Jonathan (born 3/30/99) both attend John Curtis as well. Jim’s down time is spent working on computers and watching Psych, 24, and Home Improvement.
